04 / ONLINE OR LOCAL

First the demo.
Then the boss’s file.

Open the online app without installing anything or creating an account. You can also run it on your own machine with Docker or Node.

Try it online, right now

The editor is available at telario.antoniotrento.net, open to everyone with no login. Choose Esplora la demo (“Explore the demo”) to start with a synthetic project, or Apri file (“Open file”) to read a .bmpr from your computer.

The server delivers the application; your browser reads and processes the document without uploading it to a conversion service. Each tab keeps its own project: visitors do not share a document archive. Export changes before closing or reloading.

A public trial of a personal project.

The online version is served from the project’s machine through Cloudflare Tunnel. It may be temporarily unavailable during restarts, maintenance, or when the machine is off. .bmpr saving remains experimental; keep your originals.

Prefer local setup? Use Docker

You need Git, Docker Engine or Docker Desktop, and Docker Compose v2. In a terminal:

git clone https://github.com/telario/telario.git
cd telario
docker compose up --build -d

Open http://localhost:8080 and choose Esplora la demo (“Explore the demo” in the current Italian interface). The first build may take a few minutes. After building, the editor does not need CDNs or external services to process documents.

Take a five-minute test

  1. Explore the synthetic demo’s two pages.
  2. Move an element, change some text, and try undo/redo.
  3. Export a PNG or SVG and open it outside the editor.
  4. Open a copy of a real .bmpr and compare a familiar page.
  5. Before trying .bmpr saving, read the limitations and keep the original.

If you prefer Node

The development workflow requires Node 22 LTS and npm:

git clone https://github.com/telario/telario.git
cd telario
npm ci
npm run dev

Open the address Vite prints in the terminal. To check the project, run npm test and npm run build. Browser tests require an available Chromium browser, as explained in the README.

If it won’t start

Check that Docker is running and port 8080 is available. Use docker compose ps and docker compose logs --tail=100 editor to inspect the service. Stop it with docker compose down.

A private file stays private even when something breaks.

Report the version, operation, and control type. Don’t automatically attach company mockups, confidential screenshots, or credentials to a public issue.

The short answers

Is this website the editor?

This is the project website; “Try online” opens the editor at telario.antoniotrento.net. You can also run it locally from its repository.

Do I have to upload my file?

No. The online version also reads and processes your document in the browser. The server delivers application files; it does not receive your selected project.

Can I accidentally change the original?

Saving downloads a copy; the source document is not automatically overwritten. Still choose a different name for the download and keep the original.

Can it replace every Balsamiq feature?

Its scope is narrower. Check compatibility, rendering, and experimental saving before relying on it for a delivery.
